Dr. Ahmed has graduated from the medical school of Cairo University. He had his basic surgical training in Cairo University hospitals and got his Master’s degree in General Surgical Sciences in 2001. After that, he worked in Dar Al Fouad Hospital, one of the largest private surgical centers in Egypt, between 2002 and 2006. He then moved to Kuwait, where he joined Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital (the teaching hospital of Kuwait University Medical School). In addition to the surgical practice, he participated in various scientific activities as well as training junior surgeons in the Kuwaiti Board of Surgery program. In 2012, Dr. Hamza got his MD Degree in General Surgery from Ain Shams University, Cairo. He also obtained a diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery from the World Laparoscopy Hospital in New Delhi, India (2014). In April 2019, he moved to the UAE and joined Burjeel hospital, Abu Dhabi as Specialist General Surgeon.

He is a member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is an active member of the medical community and has participated in many international publications and attended various professional conferences and workshops.

Dr. Hamza has more than 20 years of experience in his field and has performed over 1500 laparoscopic procedures. He has a wide experience in breast-tumor surgeries, laparoscopic repair of all types of hernia, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy, abdominoplasty and abdominal wall reconstruction surgeries, emergency and elective gastrointestinal surgeries, colorectal surgeries, pilonidal sinus surgery, thyroid and salivary gland surgeries, lymph-node excision, anal canal surgeries (piles, fissure and fistula), and skin lesions excision.
