Dr. Atta Ghassan Atta Al Khaznaji received his medical education and MBChB at Al Nahrain University, Iraq in 1994 and was awarded the Iraqi Board in Neurology (FICMS) by the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization in 2002. In 2005, Dr. Atta went to United Kingdom where he was trained in Neurosciences at Charing Cross Hospital, then in both Neurosciences and Neurological Rehabilitation at Queen’s Medical Center, Nottingham University Hospital, and Nottingham City Hospital. In addition to his medical practice at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Queen Square Hospital, London, he also attended the Pediatric Neurology Clinic at Hammersmith Hospital, UK where he handled cases of children with muscular dystrophies.

Dr. Atta began his medical career in various teaching government hospitals in Iraq. Then in 2006, he moved to UAE to continue his Neurology practice in a well-known private as well as government healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain. In the span of his career, he became a co-examiner and lecturer of undergraduate medical students. Dr. Atta is at burjeel hospital since 2013.

Dr. Atta has participated in various conferences held in United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Egypt, Morocco, Syria and Iraq. Currently, he is a member of the Emirates Medical Association, Emirates Neurology Society and Iraq Medical Association.

His field of experience covers neurology subspecialties including migraine and headache disorders, dizziness and vertigo, facial pain and weakness, seizure disorder and epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating disorders of the nervous system, extrapyramidal disorders including tremor, parkinsonism and Parkinson’s disease, gait disturbance and imbalance, neck and back pain as well as peripheral neuropathy and myopathy. In addition to the management and rehabilitation of brain stroke and other neurological disorders.
