Dr. Fuad Ahmed has joined burjeel hospital as Consultant- General, Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery.

He received his Medical Degree M.B.Ch.B from College of Medicine, Baghdad University in Iraq 1994, and performed his residency clinical training in Medical City Teaching Centre, Baghdad, Iraq.

Then, he further specialized and joined the Arab Board for Medical Specialization at the Medical City Teaching Centre, Baghdad, Iraq and was awarded a certificate of the Arab Board in General Surgery in 2001.

Dr. Fuad has been awarded the Title of Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery by the European Accreditation Council for Bariatric Surgery (EAC-BS) in June 2018, the Certificate of Service Excellence for the year of 2017 from Burjeel Hospital and awarded the Title of Master Surgeon in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery in September 2018 from Surgical Review Corporation (SRC).

Dr. Fuad takes great pride in providing a focused and meticulous care to his patience in an evidence based and professional environment. He always believes in a multidisciplinary team approach to meet the international standards of excellence in medical care. He is strongly convinced that patients should be involved in the decision-making process, provided that the different options of treatment modalities are fully explained to achieve successful world class outcome.
