Dr. Thatiana Chesney graduated from a prestigious public medical University in Brazil and after her graduation did her specialization in anesthesiology at Hospital das Clínicas – São Paulo University, the biggest hospital complex in Latin America.

As a specialist in anesthesia, Dr. Thatiana worked at Hospital das Clínicas for 4 years providing anesthesia mainly for trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency cases for both adults and children. She also worked for 4 years at Hospital e Maternidade Santa Joana, a private maternity hospital accredited by the Joint Commission International and a Center of Excellence in Obstetric Anesthesia by SOAP (Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology). In Brazil, she was also part of the anesthesia team at Sabará Children’s Hospital, a reputable private pediatric hospital. In the UAE, she worked as a locum doctor providing care for ICU patients during the fight against covid-19 in a renowned public hospital. She has also served on humanitarian projects providing care for war-wounded patients in countries affected by conflict.

In 2019 Dr. Thatiana was granted the European Diploma in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care by the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC). In 2017 she was granted the Superior Title in Anesthesiology by the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology, the most prestigious title among anesthesiologists in Brazil.

She is a member of both the European Society of Anesthesiologists and the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiologists. She is always taking part in scientific meetings and events to constantly improve her practice.

Her main areas of interest are anesthesia for polytraumatized patients, blood management, and obstetric anesthesia.
