Dr. Arnold Plazid Thekakara has joined Burjeel Hospital as Specialist Anesthesia. He obtained his MBBS in 2003 from Jubilee Mission Medical College, India and completed his MD Anesthesiology from Kerala University of Health Sciences in 2013.

Dr. Arnold Plazid Thekakara worked in a JCI accredited Tertiary Care Hospital in India, before moving to UAE. He also had specialized training in High-Risk Obstetric Anesthesia & Labor Analgesia and Pediatric Regional Anesthesia. In 2019, he was awarded European Diploma in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management (EDRA) by European Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Therapy.

Dr. Arnold Plazid Thekakara special areas of interest are continuous peripheral nerve block catheters, low dose labor epidurals, segmental epidural, high risk anesthesia, point-of-care ultrasound, and perioperative pain management.
