Dr. Nada Omer Mohamed Elbashir has joined Burjeel Hospital as Specialist Psychiatrist. She completed her MBBS from Gezira University, Sudan, in 2002 and MD in Psychiatry in 2013. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Sudanese Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Nada started her career as Medical Practitioner in Taha Baasher Psychiatric Hospital, since 2003 Khartoum then she did her Residency Program in Psychiatry (Sudan Medical Specialization). She then moved to the UAE and has worked with well reputed hospitals for 9 years. She has been part of several workshops and conferences pertaining to Psychiatric Disorders and Treatment Therapies.

Dr. Nada areas of interest include general adult psychiatry, child psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, psychotherapy. She also has extensive experience in women's mental health, schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders (obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, PTSD, phobias), dementia and with specific experience in assessment of pre-bariatric surgery patients.
