Dr. Roger Haene has joined Burjeel Hospital as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon. He received his Medical Degree (MBBCh) from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1999 and MRCS from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003. He completed his FRCS (Tr&Orth) in Cambridge UK, together with additional Fellowship training (Foot & Ankle Reconstruction) in Toronto (Canada) and Dublin(Ireland).
Dr. Roger Haene has been in the UAE for 4 years, working in the Centre of Orthopedic Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Centre. As result he is skilled in the management of many fractures involving multiple Parts of the body.
He is frequently consulted as an expert by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health regarding International Patient Care. He has published in respected orthopaedic scientific journals is a regular speaker at international conferences, and is up-to-date with the latest evidence-based knowledge and surgical techniques.
