Professor Toufic Ata, a Lebanese, French, born in 1974. He obtained his medical degree at Saint Joseph University of Beirut in Lebanon in 2004. His residency was at “Hôtel dieu de France”, Beirut, Lebanon, and he completed his training with fellowships at « Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal de Poissy-St-Germain-en-Laye », France

Dr. Ata is holding a master’s degree in Surgical science from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) since 2007 and is a member in the “Fédération française de cancérologie digestive”, and the European Board of Surgical Oncology and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.

Dr. Ata has more than seventeen years’ experience as general surgeon; before Joining Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi as Consultant - General Surgeon in October 2021, Dr. Ata was Head of Surgical specialties at Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Abu Dhabi from Sept 2015.

Dr. Ata is expert in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Bariatric, Colorectal, Hiatal Hernia Repair, Inguinal Hernial repair), Heated Intra Peritoneal Chemotherapy, Thyroid and Breast Surgery and Proctology.
